👋 Megan here. I finally stopped by El Tigre Coffee Roasters, an Austin transplant that opened in St. Paul Square earlier this year.
The vibe: The space is completely transformed from when it housed Vice Versa Coffee. Before, vintage seating made it into a cozy coffeehouse for reading and relaxing.
Now the space is more fitted for a business meeting, with artistic touches like a paint-splattered floor.
What to try: A brown butter toffee iced latte ($5.50). I asked for it half sweetened, which helps bring out the smooth toffee flavor without masking the espresso.
It mimics actual toffee surprisingly well.
Pro tip: Get free parking in the square with validation code "eltigre6."
