👋 Megan here. I recently started my weekend with a cup of joe from Clear Light Coffee Company and a hike at Phil Hardberger Park.
The vibe: Clear Light is set back from West Avenue in a delightful, almost hidden way. It's next door to barbecue and Tex-Mex restaurants in a clearing surrounded by trees. You can almost forget you're right off a major road.
What to try: Stick with the basics and grab a cold brew ($5) or a house drip ($4), if you prefer something hot.
Both are well-brewed, bold and flavorful — not too bitter.
Pro tip: While Phil Hardberger Park is a short drive away, Walker Ranch Park is right across the street.
Clear Light partners with the city to host free yoga classes at both parks on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Find details online.
If you go: Clear Light is open 8am-1pm Saturday and Sunday.
