Flashback: Suddenly we were plunged into a Twilight Zone episode, unsure what was safe or unsafe, rational or irrational.
Most of my time was spent working behind my laptop screen or tuning into the city's nightly COVID briefings, but there were some bright spots — like celebrating Fiesta at home to soften the sting of its cancellation, or driving through the San Antonio Zoo.
I can't wait to tell my future kids I once cruised past Big Cat Valley in my Honda.
Then there was all the anxious wiping down of groceries with disinfectant wipes.
And truth be told, the honking and hollering of car parades got a little annoying about six months in.
