👋 Megan here. This year's San Antonio Coffee Festival graduated to a larger space at Hemisfair's Civic Park.
State of sips: The festival regularly sells out, and not everyone was as lucky as I was to snag a ticket — so I thought I'd share some of the great samples I found.
Here's where to look next when your home set-up is running low on beans.
Tacuba Coffee Co.: The El Sol is a medium roast with a natural process, which can be harder to find than the average washed process. It helps bring out more flavors — banana, peach and chocolate here.
Quantum Coffee Roasters: Their Costa Rica roast is honey processed and has notes of milk chocolate, red apple and dried fruit.
Pulp Coffee Roasters: Here I tried a cold brew made with the naturally processed Kayon Mountain coffee, a medium roast that tastes of raspberry, blueberry and cocoa.
Pro tip: Tacuba and Quantum don't have physical coffee shops right now, but Pulp has a tasting room on the East Side.
