I recently found myself wandering around St. Paul Square and feeling hungry, so I stopped by the new Boombox Pizza Bar.
Dig in: The pizzeria opened this summer alongside Stylus Mixology, a glamorous disco nightclub.
- While I'm guessing it's the perfect late-night snack spot for nightclub dancers, it also makes for a relaxed weekend lunch.
The vibe: The space is decked out in nostalgia — TVs showing old cartoons, Monica's door straight out of "Friends" and a mini thrift shop with '90s vibes.
- You can't miss the colorful neon sign against a white-tiled wall, and a beautiful bright red pizza oven.
What to eat: The You Had Me at Prosciutto pizza ($32, large) comes with prosciutto, sheep cheese, balsamic pickled onions and spicy Calabrian honey.
- It's easy sharing for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike, with prosciutto on only half at request.
- The sweet balsamic contrast with hot honey is just about perfect.
- The Caesar salad ($6) is also great for sharing — though you might want it all to yourself with that fresh, house-made anchovy dressing.
Pro tip: Head to Boombox on Friday nights for a $40 deal that includes a one-topping pizza, two drinks and a dessert.
