How to reserve parking at San Antonio International Airport

• Parking lots have regularly filled to capacity this year, pushing the airport to operate overflow lots.

The latest: Passengers can now reserve parking spots in advance for the garages and economy green lot and pay through an app called Metropolis, airport officials announced Monday.

How it works: Visit flysatparking.com, and put in your entry and exit dates and times to reserve. You can then pay for parking in the short-term garage, long-term garages, economy green lot or Fly Away Valet.

• There is no extra fee for booking ahead online.
• You can change or cancel your parking reservation up to one hour before your arrival.
• To pay at the airport, you can scan a QR code at your parking destination and connect your license plate to your payment method with the Metropolis app.

What they're saying: "We're pleased to introduce new services designed to guarantee parking space for passengers arriving at SAT, enhancing their overall travel experience," Jesus Saenz, airport director, said in a statement.

• "With holiday travel approaching, we anticipate parking reservations to fill quickly, so we encourage travelers to plan ahead."
