San Antonio weekend events: Burton Ball and beer festival

• The $40 general admission ticket includes mole tastings, three bar drinks and unlimited Tito's Vodka specialty drinks. 

Friday

Relax at the free Jazz in the Garden concert featuring the Toro Flores Quintet at the Japanese Tea Garden from 6:30-9pm.

• Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Dress up for the Burton Ball, which will feature art, vendors, costume contests and appearances by Ve Neill, who is known for her makeup work in "Beetlejuice," "Edward Scissorhands" and "Batman Returns." 

• The event runs through Sunday at Wonderland of the Americas (hours vary); admission is free. 

Saturday 

Celebrate 16 years of Luminaria, the city's free art festival, at its new location in St. Paul Square from 6pm-midnight. 

Toast to the San Antonio Beer Festival at Crockett Park, where more than 100 breweries will be in attendance. There will also be food vendors and live music. 

• Tickets start at $45. Entry times vary depending on ticket tier.

Pawty with pups at the annual Fest of Tails, a free kite festival and dog fair, at McAllister Park from 9am-2pm.
