Ragweed continues to plague San Antonio's allergy sufferers.
Why it matters: Being ragweed season savvy can help us keep the sneezes, itchiness and runny noses at bay to fully enjoy the slightly cooler weather and fall fun.
State of sneeze: San Antonio saw high pollen counts of ragweed, chenopods and elm through September, and that's continued into October, according to Pollen.com.
Counts started dropping from high to medium-high in late September.
This week's medium-high pollen outlook mirrors last week's, except grasses replaced elm in the mix of top allergens.
Premier Allergy of Texas, a San Antonio clinic, offers tips to pollen-proof your home:
Seal windows.
Use HEPA filters in air conditioners and vacuums.
Create a "clean zone" for removing outdoor shoes and clothing.
