Here's what's going on around the Alamo City this weekend.
Thursday
- Get outside for the McNay Art Museum's beloved Second Thursday tradition, which offers free admission from 4-9pm, as well as an itinerary of family-friendly activities throughout the property.
- Conjunto legend Santiago Jiménez Jr. will play from 6:30-8:30pm.
- Lawn chairs and picnic blankets are encouraged.
Catch a free 20th anniversary screening of "A Day Without a Mexican" at the Slab Cinema Arthouse at Blue Star at 7pm.
Jump into Durty Nelly's 50th anniversary celebration.
- Shiner Beer will be on hand from 7-9pm. Activities continue through Sunday.
Friday
Revel in divorced dad rock at Creed's Frost Bank Center concert.
- 3 Doors Down is the special guest.
- Doors open at 7pm. Tickets start at $29.50.
Take an Oktoberfest beer-tasting cruise on the San Antonio River Walk at 7pm.
- Tickets are $60 and include a German food tasting board.
- The cruises will happen every Friday for the remainder of the month.
Celebrate Summerween at Fermentería's Friday the 13th lotería night, 7:30-9:30pm.
- Lotería cards start at $10.
Continue the pre-Halloween fun at Be Kind and Rewind for its launch of The Horror Section, a second annual pop-up with themed cocktails and immersive decor lasting through Nov. 2.
- The downtown bar opens at 2pm on Fridays.
Saturday
Enjoy a morning of pickleball lessons and games at Hemisfair from 9am-noon.
- Registration is free. Check-in will start 30 minutes before the event.
- Guests are encouraged to bring their own paddles.
Get hyped up for the 2025 Men's Final Four with Hoops on Houston Street, a free basketball-themed block party from 10am-2pm.
Honor Mexican independence at the 43rd annual Dieciséis de Septiembre Parade starting at the corner of Brazos and Guadalupe streets at 10am.
- The day will be rounded out with a 5pm charreada performance at the San Antonio Charro Association.
- The parade is free; charreada tickets are $15 for adults, free for kids 13 and under.
Head to the Hill Country for the Fredericksburg Cheese and Wine Festival at Grapetown Vineyard from noon-4pm.
- Food and drink passes start at $60.
Experience Cumbiatron, a cumbia-themed rave, at Stable Hall.
- Tickets are $23. Doors open at 8pm.
Sunday
Join a jam-packed Sunday Funday at Traders Village's free Fiesta Patrias, where favorites like Siggno, Michael Salgado, Sunny Sauceda and Campanas de America will perform from 11am-4:15pm.
- Parking is $6.
