Make weeknight plans at the new River North Icehouse

If you're looking to make your weeknights more fun on a budget, we've got a recommendation for you.

Zoom in: The new River North Icehouse is right across the street from the San Antonio Museum of Art. If you time it right, you can grab a discounted drink and enjoy the art museum for free all in one night.

The museum is free to Bexar County residents on Tuesdays from 4-7pm. River North Icehouse has happy hour deals Monday through Friday from 4-7pm.
While finding free parking in the River North area is getting harder, we managed to grab free street parking on a low-key Tuesday.

State of drinks: During happy hour, house cocktails are $2 off, drafts are $1 off and frozen drinks are just $5.

What to try: We had the Clara's Paloma, a fresh take on the classic cocktail with mezcal instead of tequila.

The St. Mary's Margarita is perfectly spicy with cucumber jalapeño tequila.
Both are $12 during happy hour.
Get them with Tajín on the rim — obviously.

The bottom line: Spice up your Tuesdays.
