San Antonio resident to compete in Paralympic Games

• She's heading to Paris off a nine-race winning streak, including a win at the 2023 World Championships for her PTS4 classification.
• The U.S. Army vet served three consecutive deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq.
• She was diagnosed with a rare form of soft tissue cancer in 2013, which led to her leg amputation.

What they're saying: "U.S. paratriathletes have continued to raise the bar for success, winning four medals at the Paralympic Games in Rio and five medals in Tokyo. What's next: The Paralympic Games will take place Sept. 1-2, a few weeks after the Paris Olympics.
