What to know about Zen Haus in St. Paul Square

The vibe: The second-floor space is decked out with art and boho-style seating — think wooden pallets with large cushions and vintage-looking pillows.

• The back patio offers views of the neighborhood near the Tower of the Americas.

What to try: This is a place with a knowledgeable barista.

• When we learned they didn't have drip coffee, they offered to make something we've never had before: an aerated espresso with water and honey ($5.75).
• It was sort of like an americano, but much better, and foamy like a Guinness beer.

Every drink coming out of here is full of texture and color and very Instagram-friendly.

• There's plenty of smoothie and tea options.

If you go: The cafe is connected to the third-floor salon Beauty Haus SA.

• Enter the courtyard off Hoefgen Avenue and head to the second floor of the light pink building for Zen Haus.
• Parking lots in the area often have a fee, but some free street parking is still available.

The bottom line: We'll be back for yoga and crafting in this relaxing space.
