Floyd Mayweather's chain of boxing gyms is coming to San Antonio

Floyd Mayweather's chain of boxing gyms is entering the San Antonio ring.

Catch up quick: The boxing champion opened Mayweather Boxing + Fitness in Los Angeles in 2018. The gyms offer boxing classes as well as regular fitness classes (without the punches).

Times and skill levels vary.

Zoom out: The brand is a franchise with locations throughout the U.S., including in Austin, Houston and Dallas.

Zoom in: The location at 12834 Potranco Rd. is the first in San Antonio.

What's next: An opening date has not been announced, but permitting information filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows the 2,000-square-foot gym will be complete in September.
