Charmant has a $25 Coolinary lunch that's worth squeezing in before the promotion ends.
Why it matters: It's a good excuse to try this relatively new restaurant near New Orleans City Park.
The big picture: Charmant is in the former MoPho spot and is open for brunch, lunch and dinner.
- I went with the croque madame, stuffed with savory greens, salami and fontina.
- The crunchy green bean side salad was so good that I ordered another to go. It had a mustardy lemon zing that was just right for a hot summer day.
Great minds: Ian McNulty, a food writer at the Times-Picayune, was also here recently and gave the restaurant's dinner menu high marks.
