Covington-based Northshore Specialty Coffee partnered with Huntsville, Ala.-based coffee alternative maker FigBrew for a first-of-its-kind coffee.
Why it matters: The 50/50 coffee/fig blend is meant to limit climate impact and reduce digestive issues for the two-thirds of Americans who drink coffee every day.
What's next: The new half-caf digestive coffee should hit FigBrew's website next week.
