Something you should know about me: I love old-school Southern comfort foods like carrot soufflé.
Why it matters: We have three great options for the sweet side in New Orleans metro.
The big picture: Carrot soufflé is a fluffy side dish often served at the holidays. It's traditionally served with powdered sugar on top.
- Piccadilly is most well known for its version.
- The cafeteria-style chain started in Baton Rouge and still has locations in Metairie and Gretna.
- A scoop of the sweet treat counts as a side at the restaurant. And, for the holidays, Piccadilly is selling frozen quart-size sides of carrot soufflé.
