New Orleans has plenty of upcoming events for your inner nerd.

Why it matters: Everybody needs a hobby.

🎮 An international video game competition is at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center through the weekend.

The Apex Legends Global Series Open features nearly 500 players competing in person for $1 million and bragging rights.

👾 May the 4th events are happening.

The Audubon Aquarium has underwater lightsaber fights Saturday and Sunday. Star Wars-themed costumes are encouraged.
The Krewe of Chewbacchus celebrates Saturday at Port Orleans with music, crawfish and Star Wars virtual reality games. (Details)
