Celtica is a Parisian-inspired cafe in New Orleans' Lakeview neighborhood, and you can't go wrong with anything you order here.
Catch up quick: Co-owner Dominique Rizzo originally opened La Boulangerie on Magazine Street and earned a loyal following for his croissants, baguettes and pastries that are miniature works of art.
- He sold the shop in 2015 to the Link Restaurant Group, which still owns it, and opened Celtica in 2020.
- His new bakery serves all the classics — the almond croissants that Uptowners lost their minds over, quiches, tarts, macarons, breads and sandwiches.

What we ordered: Napoleon ($5.50), quiche Lorraine ($6.80), almond croissant ($6) and coffee ($3).
- La Boulangerie was my regular breakfast spot when we moved Uptown about 13 years ago. We'd walk to the bakery where my husband would get the sweet, flaky Napoleon and I'd get a savory, warm quiche.
- Now we do that on the patio at Celtica and think of it as a much cheaper alternative to a Paris vacation.
If you go: The bakery gets busy on weekends and often sells out. Go early, especially if you want a loaf of bread.
