Another cold front arrives Friday, but New Orleans is out of the woods for a late freeze.
Why it matters: You can put away your heavy coats and plant all the things now.
The big picture: New Orleans' median last spring freeze is Feb. 2, according to the Midwest Regional Climate Center.
Meanwhile, Leadville, Colorado, has the latest median spring frost on June 27, writes Rahul Mukherjee.
Zoom in: Friday's cold front is expected to bring rain and drop temperatures into the 50s and 60s, according to the National Weather Service.
But, they'll bounce back this weekend.
What's next: Southeast Louisiana may have a few cooler days in March, the National Weather Service says, but we're generally back to shorts and T-shirts in New Orleans until fall.
We already hit a high of 80 on Wednesday and will be back in the mid-70s next week.
