It won't be just the ice cream that kids scream about when the Museum of Ice Cream opens at Miami Worldcenter today.
- The carnival games, dueling two-story slides and sprinkle pool should entertain them for hours.
Why it matters: The Museum of Ice Cream is the latest tenant to open at Miami Worldcenter, a 27-acre mixed-use development that is still taking shape downtown.
State of play: Martin got a sneak peek yesterday and reverted to his inner child: Eating ice cream at 9am and cannonballing into the pink sprinkle pool.

Martin's review: The museum is geared toward children, but adults can have fun too. (Even Manny tagged along!)
- Sip on a sweet cocktail at the diner, zip down the slide and lounge in the surprisingly comfortable sprinkle pool.
- The kids will enjoy pretending to fly on an ice cream-themed airplane, unlocking secret passageways behind freezer doors and learning ice cream trivia.
The flavors: Your ticket includes free ice cream available at different spots around the museum.
- My favorite was the Beach Bomb, an orange-flavored parfait that is supposed to imitate the elements of a perfect beach day – sun, wind, sand and water.
- It's a dessert and a sensory experience: You wear headphones and fill out a bingo-like card with your favorite memories from the beach.
If you go: Tickets start at $24 but fluctuate based on demand.
