Indy has a packed final weekend of August with events like a free Mike Epps concert, the Colts' preseason finale, a giant collector car show and major concerts from Mötley Crüe and Kesha.
Why it matters: There's a little bit of everything on the docket, except for dull moments.
- Here are a few ways to close out August with a good time.
🤘 Rock out with glam-metal veterans Mötley Crüe when they bring the "Return of the Carnival of Sins" tour to Ruoff Music Center, 6:30pm Saturday.

🏀 Cheer on the playoff-bound Indiana Fever as they host the Connecticut Sun in a late-season WNBA matchup at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, 7:30pm Friday.

😂 Kick it with comedian Mike Epps as he hosts a variety of gatherings in his hometown.
- His Mike Epps and Friends comedy show kicks off at 8pm Friday at Old National Centre. Tickets start at $53.
- From 12-6pm Saturday, the free Mike Epps Community Concert will take place at Washington Park. Expect live music, food, wellness activities and family-friendly entertainment.
- Epps' inaugural car and bike show runs from 12-6pm Sunday at Lawrence Community Park. Free.
💰 Attend a flood benefit concert in Broad Ripple headlined by Dizgo and Hyryder, 8pm Friday.
- Tickets are $10 with all proceeds going to the relief effort.
🖼️ Watch nearly 60 artists paint Carmel landmarks in real time during Carmel on Canvas, a free plein-air competition spanning the Arts & Design District, Midtown, City Center, Japanese Gardens and Central Park.
- Painting begins at 8am Friday and Saturday.
🚗 Drool over hundreds of enthusiast and collector cars in the Carmel Arts & Design District during the free Artomobilia event, 11am-5pm Saturday.
🔨 Let the little ones learn by safely going hands-on with power tools during the free Power Tool Petting Zoo at Maker Playground in Fishers, 12-4pm Saturday.
🏈 Help the Colts close their preseason with a win over the Lions in Lucas Oil Stadium, 1pm Saturday.
