Brews on Tues: An epic way to start the day

• Their Epic Blend Espresso is a custom roast from Dark Side Roasters in Cicero.
• Cream top whole milk is delivered weekly, courtesy of Noblesville's Simply from Scratch.
• Muffins, croissants and other baked goods are sourced from Carmel's Le Petit Gâteau.

Flashback: Epic began as a mobile coffee trailer that primarily did pop-ups at HamCo events before moving into the former Rose & Lois space.

Brew of the week: The Zebra ($6.50) was a smooth and creamy way to start the day that combined Dutch chocolate, white mocha and rich whole milk.

The vibe: Peaceful and charming. There are plenty of places to sit with a laptop and get some work done, but I opted to sink into a comfy black couch in a cozy corner with a good podcast.

Plus: They have a pet wall full of portraits of cute local animals.

Yes, but: A drive-through window gives you access to their full menu on the go if you don't feel like getting out of the car.
