'Burb Bites: Fishers goes pink for Hailey

• The city of Fishers will honor her memory with pink exterior lighting on city buildings, pink ribbons along 116th Street and at city properties and a portrait by artist Shelley Feeney at the City Hall art gallery.
• Residents are also urged to go to the Fishers Community Center to share written condolences and messages of remembrance on a "We Love Hailey" canvas, and place memorial items or tributes for Hailey and her family.

🗣️ Also in Fishers, neighbors are voicing concerns over a proposed memory care home on Brooks School Road.

• The Fishers Plan Commission forwarded the plan for the area's sixth Story Cottage facility to the city council with no recommendation after a long public hearing last week.
• Plan opponents are concerned about issues like traffic, safety and having a business operate in a residential area. The city council will consider the issue on Feb. 23.

📚 Johnson County Public Library leaders are making a plea for residents to fight back against Indiana Senate Bill 8.

• SB 8 would shift approval for a library's proposed budget from the library governing body to the city, town or county council if a budget increase reaches a certain threshold.
• Johnson County officials say the legislation, which cleared the Senate 31-13, would make it difficult for Hoosier libraries to grow, plan for the future and maintain facilities.

🍛 What was once Whalburgers — and at one point poised to become Pacific Rim — opens its doors in Carmel's Proscenium today as Thai Prime.

• The upscale Thai eatery at 1200 S. Rangeline Road is owned by Indy-area restaurateurs Kanlaya Browning, Saowalux Fary, Dao Richmond, Suzy Eig and Chariya Nam-Asa.

🚴 Zionsville's Overley-Worman Park is adding a 4-mile mountain bike trail.

• The new addition will be a beginner-rated trail that increases the park's total of mountain bike trails to 5.25 miles. Construction should start this spring with the trail set to open late summer or early fall.
