New cafe and taproom combo coming to Speedway

Zoom in: Founders Grounds Coffee Co. opened the doors to its 1,100 square foot space at 1414 Main St. in 2021.

• Their new location a short walk north inside 1552 Main St. is the former home of Rosner's Pharmacy, and will provide the combined operation with 4,000 square feet of space.
• Pax Verum, which produces the Indianapolis 500-inspired Speedway City IPA, is a Lapel-based company that has been serving up a variety of beers at its original taproom since early 2018.
• The Lapel location will continue operations after Speedway City Garage opens.
• Owners tell the IBJ to expect a "coffee-to-cocktails destination" that houses a cafe and a taproom.
