10 new public art projects coming to Indy

• All of the selected projects must take place between November 2025 and November 2026, and are funded in part by the city of Indianapolis.
• Grant awards range from $2,000 to $10,000.

What they're saying: "From neighborhood concerts to youth-led storytelling, the projects reflect how artists and organizations are making art a vital part of everyday life in Indianapolis," Indy Arts Council president and CEO Judith Thomas said in a statement.

Here are the 10 recipients:

Arts for Learning: $10,000

• Workshops exploring emotions through multidisciplinary arts experiences at Krannert Park.

Brandon Meeks: $10,000

• An outdoor jazz concert series at Fort Ben Cultural Campus.

Clockwork Janz: $10,000

• A drag variety show parodying 90s kids' edutainment at Garfield Park Arts Center.

Cuong Tran: $10,000

• A public dance party featuring local street dance and live musicians at the Indiana State Museum and Canal Walk.

Percussive Arts Society: $7,188

• An immersive musical performance featuring more than 150 musicians at White River State Park.

Tricia O'Connor: $9,812

• A series of art workshops organized in collaboration with Charity Counts at the Michigan Road and Eagle Branches of the Indianapolis Public Library.

1000 Words Inc.: $9,500

• After-school workshops where youth create illustrated storybooks at 1000 Words.

Indianapolis Movement Arts Collective: $5,500

• Performances and classes led by a visually impaired dancer at the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

INSPIRE Music Collective: $9,500

• Digital music and storytelling workshops in partnership with the Martin Luther King Community Center and the Kheprw Institute.

Read for Joy, Inc.: $8,500

• Creative writing workshops inspired by the work of Black poets at Temple Community Outreach.
