The Indianapolis Colts kick off their 2025 campaign at home Sunday.
The bad news: If the offseason's quarterback confusion wasn't enough, history tells us that Week 1 might not go well.
- The Colts haven't won a season opener in more than a decade, that last victory coming in 2013 when Andrew Luck led the team to a W over the Raiders in his sophomore season.
- That is the team's only Week 1 win of the post-Peyton Manning era.
- Over the past 20 years, their Week 1 record is 6-14.
The good news: The game being potentially difficult to watch doesn't mean Colts fans can't have plenty of fun supporting their squad (or drowning their sorrows) this weekend.
Zoom in: Here are a few options to ease the pain if the Colts can't get it done against the Miami Dolphins.
🛣️ Start your celebration with a selfie by the Jim Irsay Street signs installed Thursday.
- In honor of the late Colts owner who is being inducted into the team's Ring of Honor Sunday, the city has ceremonially renamed South Street between Capitol and Missouri.
💙 Kick off Blue Friday at the annual blueing of the Downtown Canal with Colts legend Edgerrin James, the Colts Cheerleaders and the team mascot.
🏃 Burn some calories ahead of your tailgate party during the 13th annual Indianapolis Colts 5K Run/Walk and the second annual Blue's Fun Run at Lucas Oil.
- The 5K costs $55 with races starting at 8am.
- The Fun Run is $20 for kids 4–12 and starts at 9:30am.
🍻 Swing by Touchdown Town on game day for live music, giveaways, kids games, $3 Bud Light specials and more outside Lucas Oil Stadium's North Gate along South Street.
- The free party starts three hours before kickoff.
🍾 Fans looking for a fancier experience can hit the Bullseye Event Center for the Colts VIP Tailgate.
- Expect an open bar, visits from former Colts players and food from "MasterChef: Legends" winner Kelsey Murphy.
- Tickets are $125 for adults and $60 for kids 9–17. Kids 8 and under get in free.
🎮 Head to The Hangar for an all-inclusive tailgate experience that bundles food, drinks, games of Mario Kart and HandleBar Pedal Pub rides for $30.
- HandleBar will also provide rides directly to Lucas Oil once the party ends.
Zoom out: The Colts enter the NFL Power Rankings this season at 28th out of 32 teams with analysts citing uncertainty over Daniel Jones as the main reason for the low position.
- The Dolphins, meanwhile, enter Week 1 at No. 24.
If you go: Colts vs. Dolphins starts at 1pm.
- Tickets start at $67.
