So many choices. All of them memorable. Photo: Justin L. Mack/Axios
This week's bite is the fanciest meal I've ever had in a big red barn.
The bite(s): Chicken cordon bleu with a side of cream of mushroom soup ($26), filet and gorgonzola crostini ($16), zucchini fries ($10), and apple crisp ($12) from Nyla's.
The 'burb: Westfield.
The intrigue: As LIV Golf's Central Indiana debut celebrated record attendance at The Club at Chatham Hills over the weekend, my wife and I hit Westfield's "Restaurant Row" for a Saturday night bite amid the buzz.
- Tens of thousands of golf fans being in town made parking a little tricky. But the meal will go down as one of the most memorable we've had this year.

My take: The crostini and zucchini fries were stellar starters. The rich gorgonzola cheese sauce on the crostini was beautifully balanced by pickled onions, and we're both still raving about the lemon aioli served alongside the fries.
- Every entree comes with a choice of soup or salad. I opted for the former, a comforting bowl of cream of mushroom with generous chunks of fungi throughout.
- The chicken cordon bleu — served alongside spinach linguine — was almost too much to finish. The breaded chicken is packed with ham and Swiss cheese that melts into the noodles.

Yes, but: There's always room for ice cream. We closed out with a skillet of spiced apples, a crisp topping and a scoop of old fashioned vanilla ice cream.
Fun fact: Nyla's, which has coined itself the "best between NY and LA," includes a nod to the former Nyla's Market and Cafe in Noblesville that closed in 2004 and had the same owners.
- Every check at the new Nyla's comes with a small replica of the original Nyla's menu.
If you go: 211 Park St., 5-10pm Tuesday-Thursday and 4-10pm Friday-Saturday.
