For the last two years, I've driven past a sweet-looking coffee shop near the corner of College Avenue and 38th Street and thought every time, "I should check that place out."

Driving the brews: Blue Mind Coffee has been roasting its own specialty coffees for over a decade but didn't open its shop in the Rose Building on 38th Street until February 2023.

Since then, it's gained a large and loyal following.

The vibe: Bright, bohemian and busy! The cozy spot has lots of comfy seating between two rooms and the patio, but the Friday the Axios Indy team met there it was still jam-packed.

Brew of the week: Banana Milk Latte.

Blue Mind makes its own banana milk, creamy and delicious with plenty of banana flavor. It's mixed with dark chocolate and espresso, served iced and topped with banana cold foam and cocoa powder.
