Meet Josh Chalfant, author of a Pacers anthem

• "For years I've wanted to write a song for one of my sports teams," Chalfant told Axios. "I just had this 'Yes 'Cers' melody going through my head. It happened quickly, within minutes."
• The rest of the hip-hop-inspired song took him about eight hours over the course of a few weeks, he said.
• It nods at each player, as well as some Pacers history. #BoomBaby

Zoom out: Chalfant lives in Columbus, Ohio, but grew up in Danville and started playing music almost 25 years ago while attending IUPUI.

• But it wasn't until he started livestreaming shows during the pandemic lockdown that his singing career really took off.

What he's making now: Appearances on local TV and radio to promote his new song.

• "I just want to get it to as many people, as many Pacers fans, as possible," he said.
• Chalfant said he's also hoping to perform the song live downtown when the Pacers return to Indy for Games 3 and 4 next week.
