The fifth overall pick in the 2009 draft, Bonner won WNBA titles with the Phoenix Mercury in 2009 and 2014 before heading to Connecticut in 2020.
She finished the 2024 season No. 4 on the WNBA's all-time scorers list, ninth for all-time in rebounds and third on the list of total games played at 502.
She only needs 215 more points to move up to No. 2 for points scored.
Bonner is a six-time WNBA All-Star who joins Tamika Catchings as the only other player to record 7,000 points, 3,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists in league history.
Fun fact: Catchings played a role in Bonner's decision to make Indianapolis her new home.
What she's saying: "The support here has been just phenomenal. I really can't go anywhere … everywhere I go it has been (people saying): 'We're excited for the season' or 'Thank you for being here,'" Bonner said. "It's just been really refreshing, and I'm excited to be here."
