The Indiana Fever want to win a WNBA Championship in 2025, so let's meet a new roster member who has done it. Twice.
🏀 #25 DeWanna Bonner: Guard-forward
- The fifth overall pick in the 2009 draft, Bonner won WNBA titles with the Phoenix Mercury in 2009 and 2014 before heading to Connecticut in 2020.
- She finished the 2024 season No. 4 on the WNBA's all-time scorers list, ninth for all-time in rebounds and third on the list of total games played at 502.
- She only needs 215 more points to move up to No. 2 for points scored.
- Bonner is a six-time WNBA All-Star who joins Tamika Catchings as the only other player to record 7,000 points, 3,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists in league history.
Fun fact: Catchings played a role in Bonner's decision to make Indianapolis her new home.
What she's saying: "The support here has been just phenomenal. I really can't go anywhere … everywhere I go it has been (people saying): 'We're excited for the season' or 'Thank you for being here,'" Bonner said. "It's just been really refreshing, and I'm excited to be here."
