Indy residents have the chance to spend one more holiday season celebrating alongside gospel music legend Sandi Patty and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
What's happening: The annual AES Indiana Yuletide Celebration begins its nearly month-long run of 24 shows tonight at Hilbert Circle Theatre.
- It will also be the final Yuletide Celebration for Patty, who has hosted the event 10 times.
- Patty was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2004 and dubbed an Indiana Living Legend in 2007.
- Joining her this year will be featured artist Curtis Bannister, dance troupe Expressenz and the ISO's Sherry Hong performing a violin solo.
What they're saying: "I am beyond thrilled, excited and honored to be with the ISO, my favorite Maestro Jack Everly, and to be the host of AES Indiana Yuletide Celebration this year," Patty said in a statement. "It has been a highlight of my entire career to serve as host for this incredible holiday experience."
If you go: The opening performance is 7:30pm Friday. This weekend also features shows at 2pm and 7pm Saturday and Sunday.
