Turkey Day will be here before you can say "gobble gobble," but not everyone in Indy has the time, interest or ability for a traditional home-cooked Thanksgiving feast.
Why it matters: Whether you're dealing with holiday season stress, trying to make ends meet or simply craving a different way to celebrate in 2024, letting someone else do the cooking may be the answer.
The big picture: Central Indiana restaurants and organizations are answering the call with a flood of Thanksgiving Day deals you can add to your calendar today.
- Here are 20 options to outsource Thanksgiving dinner this year.
🦃 For those who want carryout
- His Place Eatery: $140 gets you a Thanksgiving dinner that serves 6-10 people. Place orders by 3pm Nov. 19 to pick up by 5pm on Nov. 27.
- Sahm's: A take-and-bake dinner that serves 6-8 people for $150. Place orders by midnight Nov. 24.
- Metro Diner: Order by Nov. 26 for a meal that feeds one for $17, four for $64 and eight for $126.
- The Grub House: A Thanksgiving catering special that serves 20 guests for $300.
- Kountry Kitchen: Order by Nov. 23 for a feast with your choice of chicken ($250), turkey ($300) or ham ($320) as an entree.
🍽️ For those who want to dine in
- Matt the Miller's: Enjoy a three-course meal with a special menu from 11am-8pm. Reservations required.
- The Oceanaire: A classic Thanksgiving dinner for $60 per guest, or a two-course special with pecan turtle cheesecake for $80 per guest.
- Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse: The steakhouse's "Thanksgiving feature" stars a 38-ounce New York strip king cut for $195.
🤔 For those who can't decide
- Season 52: Order by Nov. 25 for a to-go meal that serves 4-6 people for $230, or dine in with a special Thanksgiving menu.
- Rick's Cafe Boatyard: Carryout meals that feed four people for $175. Dine-in meals with a special menu are $33 per adult and $16 per child.
- Ruth's Chris Steak House: Adults dine in for $48, children for $20. Carry-out meals for $175 must be placed 48 hours in advance for pickup 12-4pm Nov. 27.
- Sullivan's Steakhouse: Host at home with a meal that serves five for $225, or 10 for $440. Order by Nov. 26. Adults dine in for $51, and kids eat for $25.
- Weber Grill: Three-course dinners are being served on Thanksgiving Day for $43 for adults, and $20 for kids under 12. Carryout dinners that feed as few as four and as many as 10 people range in price from $65 to $116.
- Cracker Barrel: The chain is serving up a trio of special Thanksgiving meals for either dine-in or curbside pickup from $10 to $17.
- The Capital Grille: Serve four people at home for $135 if you order by Nov. 26. Full menu available for dine-in.
- Bob Evans: Order by Nov. 26 for carryout meals that serve between four and 10 people for between $85 and $160. The rest of the menu, including breakfast, will be available for dine-in on Thanksgiving Day.
🤝 For those who need a hand
- Faith Community Church: The church will hand out a turkey dinner with sides to prepare on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10am Nov. 23.
- The Edna Martin Christian Center: Get a free hot meal with a dessert and drink from 5-7pm on Nov. 26.
- BFA Turkey Day Giveaway: The fifth annual giveaway takes place on Nov. 25 at The Umbrella Center.
- Good Samaritan Network Holiday Assistance: From 11am-2pm on Thanksgiving, meals will be handed out via drive-thru at locations in Noblesville, Fishers and Sheridan.
