Hoosiers cast ballots Tuesday for the next leader of both the state and nation. Polls are open 6am to 6pm local time.
Why it matters: In addition to the presidential race, control of Congress is at stake in this year's election.
- At the state level, the race for governor, U.S. Senate and attorney general are contested, but Republicans are heavily favored.
Zoom in: The gubernatorial race between Republican Sen. Mike Braun, Democrat Jennifer McCormick and Libertarian Donald Rainwater has gotten heated in the election's home stretch.
- U.S. Rep. Jim Banks is expected to easily defeat Democrat Valerie McCray to assume the state's open Senate being vacated by Braun.
- Republican Attorney General Todd Rokita is seeking another term, facing Democrat Destiny Wells.
