Halloween is just two weeks away (!!!).
Yes, but: It's not too late to come up with a costume that'll show off your Hoosier pride, or sense of humor.
Here are nine Halloween costumes celebrating the Circle City.
Channel the Mass Ave landmark with an all black outfit and a roll of orange tape.
How to do it: Cut strips of tape to outline your limbs and then practice your moves (see GIF above).
⛹🏻♀️ Caitlin Clark
You probably already have her jersey and a basketball — this is Indiana, after all.
- Bonus points if you add a Swig cup.

The statue at the top of the circle's Soldiers and Sailors Monument is beauty. She is grace. She has a bird on her head (see photo above).
How to do it: You'll need a bird, a sword, a torch, gold spray paint, a headband and some kind of gold/beige/khaki outfit — I used a bed sheet, tied toga style.
- Spray paint your bird, sword and torch gold.
- Glue the bird onto a headband or hair clip.
🚍 IndyGo's Blue, Red or Purple Line
The perfect last-minute costume — just grab a piece of blue, red or purple construction paper, scissors and some tape.
How to do it: Cut a strip of your paper and tape it to a plain T-shirt (see photo above).
🪩 Taylor Swift (Indy's version)
She's all anyone is going to be talking about anyway, so lean into the cultural conversation and dress accordingly.
- Need a couple's costume? Add Travis Kelce.
- Have a large group? Everyone dress as a different era.
- Or, get extra creative and add some friendship bracelets to one of those inflatable dinosaur costumes and be the Children's Museum dinos decked out as Swifties.
This one's for the politicos.
How to do it: Grab a blue shirt, black pants and print yourself a "No Gas Stoves" sign.
- Just don't forget to add your "digitally altered" disclaimer.
🚧 Road construction
Snag this traffic cone costume and always be topical.
✂️ The IUPUI divorce
Is it too soon? If not, pick up IU Indy and Purdue in Indianapolis T-shirts, cut them in half and sew the halves together.
- If you act fast, you may be able to order this custom shirt and have it arrive in time.
🐷 Pork tenderloin
Hamburger costume? Tired.
- Pork tenderloin? Wired.
How to do it: Start with a little bun (great instructions here).
- Cut out an obscenely large pork tenderloin shape from cardboard, cover it in fuzzy brown fabric and wear it sandwich-board style with as much Hoosier pride as you can muster.
