The Athenaeum's 16th annual GermanFest is back to throw "the best Haus party in Indy!"
Driving the news: A celebration of German-American Day, which officially falls on Oct. 6, GermanFest is an all-ages gathering featuring food, drinks, music and more.
- Special attractions include "Dachshund Dash" wiener dog races; Athenaeum building tours; sausage eating and stein holding competitions; and a free "Kinderland" kids' area hosted in conjunction with the YMCA.
- Live music will be played on two stages and feature performers that specialize in both classic German tunes and modern-day beat drops.
If you go: GermanFest runs from 12-6pm Saturday at the Athenaeum, 401 E. Michigan St.
- General admission tickets are $15 in advance and $25 day of.
- Youth tickets (ages 4-12) are $10 in advance and $15 day of.
- Children 3 and under get in free.
- $50 VIP tickets include early admission at 11:30am, one stein, one stein fill and an Athenaeum tote bag.

🖼️ Art lovers can also hunt for cool work and inspiration at the eighth annual Monument Circle Art Fair, 10am-5pm Saturday.
👻 Join the Colts for a night of spooky fun during the team's For The Boo Halloween Party, 6pm Saturday outside Lucas Oil Stadium.
- Tickets are $5. Kids 17 and under get in free.
