Everything is Minnesota nice at Pryes Brewing Co.

The vibe: Perfect. The weather was 70s and sunny, the patio was huge and the music was 2000s alt-rock.

• Yes, but: The bees were not Midwest nice and would not leave us alone.

What we drank: Justin had a Magic Hour, a 7.1% ABV party described as a "tropical smoothie IPA" with guava, passion fruit, orange, marshmallow and Strata hops. The inclusion of marshmallow was an eyebrow raiser, but the flavors blended together beautifully.

• Crisp and cozy, it never got too sweet and maintained a nice balance all the way to the bottom of the glass.
• Lindsey tried the blood orange Miraculum, a fruited Midwest IPA that was 6.4% ABV. If you enjoy Centerpoint Brewing Co.'s blood orange, this tasted very similar, aka great.
• Arika loved the Barn Storm, a tropical sour made especially for the Minnesota State Fair.

The bottom line: We may or may not return to Indy later this week.
