Hoosiers at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris have been putting medals on the board for Team USA since Day 1.
Driving the news: So far, Olympians who claim Indiana as their home state have won medals in cycling, diving, swimming, tennis, volleyball and more.

🏊 Alex Shackell of Carmel, 17, swimming.
- The first Carmel girls swimmer to compete in the Olympics who traveled to Paris with her big brother and fellow Olympian Aaron Shackell now has a gold and silver medal.
- She won a gold medal Sunday as a part of the mixed 4x100 team that included Evansville native and last-time Olympian Lilly King. The team set a world record of 3:49.63 in the final event.
- Alex Shackell earned a silver medal Friday as part of the women's 4x200 freestyle team.
🏊 Sarah Bacon of Indianapolis, 27, diving.
- The first-time Olympian also won the first medal for Team USA, a silver alongside partner Kassidy Cook for synchronized diving.
🚴 Chloé Dygert of Brownsburg, 27, cycling.
- The three-time Olympian won a bronze medal in the individual time trial cycling event, finished 15th in the road race after a crash, and will get back on her bike today for team pursuit.
🎾 Rajeev Ram of Carmel, 40, tennis.
- The three-time Olympian added a second silver medal to his collection by winning the men's doubles with partner Austin Krajicek on Saturday.
🏊 Drew Kibler of Carmel, 24, swimming.
- The two-time Olympian took home a silver as part of the men's 4x200 freestyle team that included Chesterton native and Indy resident Blake Pieroni.
- "We are always rooting for gold. That is the American standard," Kibler said. "But it is a really special thing to be on that podium. It was really tough missing that podium a few years ago."
What's next: Cole Hocker, a 23-year-old track and field athlete from Indianapolis, will compete in the men's 1500m final at 2:50pm Tuesday.
- Dygert's team pursuit run starts at 11:30am.
- Bacon is slated to compete in the women's 3m springboard starting at 9am Wednesday.
