Free concerts, furry friends and deep-fried everything are back at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Driving the news: The 167th edition of the Indiana State Fair opens Friday and runs through Aug. 18.
🌱 State of play: The art and nature-themed fair gives attendees access to more than 100 attractions with the price of admission.
A full list of events can be found here, but here are a few 2024 highlights:
- The slate of free concerts includes a tribute to The Beatles and an appearance by Keanu Reeves.
- The Great American Duck Race and a celebration of the Black drivers of the Gold and Glory Sweepstakes are among 15 new attractions.
- Hot Honey Chicken Nachos and a monstrous sandwich known as Bratzilla are two of this year's new food items.
If you go: The fair is open every day except Mondays. Discount fair tickets can be purchased at IndianaStateFair.com.
- Advance general admission is $13, and parking passes are $8.
- A family pack on sale now gets you a parking pass and four general admission tickets for $52.

🎤 Sing along with Blink 182 as they bring their "One More Time" tour to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, 7pm Friday.

🏈 Get a peek at the 2024 football season during Colts Training Camp at Westfield's Grand Park Sports Campus.
- A free practice starts at 8am Friday, and a $5 practice starts at 2pm Sunday.
🎈 Get lifted during the free Eagle Creek Hot Air Balloon Festival, 6pm Saturday.
🪦 See John Dillinger's grave and other notable stops during a Crown Hill Cemetery walking tour, 4pm Saturday.
