Every choice is a good one at Tinker Street

Where to go: Tinker Street.

• The service, the atmosphere, the food, the drinks … it just doesn't miss.
• It doesn't hurt that it's walking distance from my house.

Yes, but: It's on the pricey side, so it's more of a "special occasion" than a regular occurrence.

What to expect: It's a super cozy spot, with a tiny bar, a few tables inside and a few more on an enclosed patio. Reservations are highly recommended during the week and absolutely necessary on the weekends.

• Every visit starts with a "Tinker toast," a small, complimentary pour of sparkling wine to start your meal.

What to order: Anything. Everything.

• Start with the Korean fried mushrooms ($22). A huge (read: shareable) portion of crispy, crunchy, delicious mushrooms is served with kimchi, pickled daikon and drizzled with gochujang honey.
• The menu changes often, so grab the vegan bao buns ($27) while you can. Fried tofu is tucked into three of the softest, pillowiest buns with pickled red onions, slivered carrot, peanuts and gochujang golden syrup — it's sweet, spicy and totally addictive.
