The Caitlin Clark effect has arrived.
Driving the news: Indiana Fever fans filled Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the team's WNBA draft party last night and to celebrate our newest Hoosier.
The vibe: Throughout the arena fans met other Fever players, got autographs from mascot Freddy and snagged team swag. Some people sported Clark's Iowa jersey and T-shirts displaying her number (22).
💠Lindsey's thought bubble: The atmosphere was far better than what I experienced at an actual Fever game last year — and I'd bet the crowd was larger. I hope the excitement continues all season.
The bottom line: There's plenty of room on the Fever Fanwagon. Hop on.
