Like drinking flowers, in a good way! Photo: Arika Herron/Axios
👋 Arika here, with a confession.
I am addicted to Starbucks' new lavender oat milk latte. It's the spring equivalent of fall's beloved-by-basic-girls-everywhere pumpkin spice latte — and I can't get enough.
Yes, but: I know Indy has a great local coffee scene.
So, I started a search for a local place to scratch my lavender itch.
First up was Fountain Square's Bovaconti, where I treated myself after a long run this past weekend.
Brew of the week: Honey lavender latte
Where Starbucks' drink is pretty lavender-forward, Bovaconti's is more subtle.
You still get the slight floral note, but it's balanced with the honey.
I was afraid the honey would tip too sweet, but it didn't.
Cost: $6 (plus $1 for oatmilk).
If you go: 1042 Virginia Ave.
Open daily, 7am to 7pm.
Plus: A Carmel location is slated to open late spring/early summer.
