👋 Shafaq here! The weekend is almost here, which means brunch.
Dig in: Traveler's Table is a globally-inspired, eclectic eatery with food from Brazil to Singapore. Its fun, expansive dinner and brunch menu feels like an elevated Cheesecake Factory (in a good way).
My experience: Our waitress recommended the ube pancakes ($17), and who was I to argue?
They were soft and chewy (thanks, boba), with a lovely balance of purple sweet potato and delicate lavender. Plus, they were so pretty.
Add some shareable, scrumptious guava empanadas ($12) and a matching purple lavender and elderberry mimosa ($9) and you've got a perfect morning (let's be real: early afternoon) with friends.
If you go: 520 Westheimer Road
Go deeper: Traveler's Table is one of more than 300 restaurants participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks, offering set menu deals from today to Sept. 1.
