How to get free seeds from the library

Planting a butterfly garden or want to grow some veggies? Cultivating your green thumb doesn't have to cost a fortune with free seed libraries.

Houston Public Library's Looscan Neighborhood branch has a seed library that lets you check out vegetable, herb and flower seeds so you can take them home and get planting.

• Harris County Public Library also offers the resource at Evelyn Meador Branch Library, Lone Star College-CyFair Library and North Channel Branch Library.
