One week into the rodeo and — as expected — it's been busy.

By the numbers: More than 100,000 people packed the grounds each day from Friday through Sunday, with many spring breakers in the crowd.

• Since opening last Tuesday, total attendance has reached 703,889 as of Monday.

The intrigue: Singer-songwriter Carin León reaffirmed the pull of regional Mexican music, packing in 70,000 fans Sunday — the biggest concert crowd so far this year.

• Seven of the 10 most-attended shows in Houston rodeo history belong to Go Tejano Day performers, including Los Tigres del Norte, Siggno and Julión Álvarez, the Houston Chronicle reports.
