👋 Jay here! I was clearing my head on a nighttime bike ride through downtown Saturday and came across something beautiful.
Driving the news: I watched as Ty McGuire popped the question to Brionna Montgomery.
Backlit by the words "Marry Me?" in bright lights opposite Houston City Hall, Montgomery said yes.
Catch up quick: The couple met while working at a Houston hotel nearly six years ago.
"We got to know each other, became friends, and then the timing just wasn't right," Montgomery said. "We split off to different jobs and lost contact."
Yes, but: Years later, their relationship rekindled.
McGuire said the proposal was "long overdue."
