More than a third of Texans say they are delaying or cutting back on medication due to its expense, per a new poll commissioned by a nonpartisan group that encourages affordable health care.
By the numbers: 37% of respondents to the poll, conducted by Baselice & Associates on behalf of Texans for Affordable Healthcare, say they have "skipped doses of a medication, discontinued a medication, or delayed or avoided a medical procedure because [they] could not afford to pay for it."
The fine print: The survey, involving 701 likely voters, was conducted in late August.
Its margin of error is ±3.7%.
Texans for Affordable Healthcare declined to identify its chief donors to Axios.
