About 200 Houston Zoo staff and bird enthusiast volunteers stood side by side to form a human barricade this week to help the zoo's 54 Chilean flamingos move to their brand-new South American Wetlands aviary.
What's next: The South American Wetlands aviary is one of three new aviaries inside the $13.5 million Birds of the World exhibit, which will open to guests Aug. 30.
