👋 Shafaq here! I'll admit, when I first heard of olive oil cake, I thought it'd taste like bread. But after one bite of Nobie's olive oil cake, I had to eat my words.

Dig in: Nobie's offers an evolving menu that showcases locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

  • The Montrose restaurant has an intimate, comfortable environment and spins vinyl all day.

My experience: The olive oil cake ($9), one of Nobie's daily desserts, appears simple at first, but is anything but. It's soaked in marsala syrup, topped with a sugary crust, and served with heavenly, thick vanilla bean whipped cream.

  • It transformed an olive oil cake skeptic into a true believer.

Pro tip: You can order an extra side of whipped cream ($1) if you're feeling indulgent. Do it.

If you go: 2048 Colquitt St.
