Bold, experimental diningexperiences can be fun, but sometimes you just crave the comfort of authentic, no-frills food. So we've got a lovely Vietnamese joint recommendation.
Dig in: Simply Pho in Midtown offers traditional Vietnamese food, from vermicelli noodles to rice plates.
What to try: The pho chay ($11), or vegan pho, was packed with flavor and warmth. The tofu in the vegan beef vermicelli ($10.95) was snackable.
The dishes, each generously plated with vegetables, were simple, fresh and homey.
