Bad Brad's BBQ buildout takes shape in Ferndale

Construction work was underway last week at the former Otus Supply in Ferndale.

Why it matters: Bad Brad's BBQ plans to open its sixth location there, per Crain's.

Catch up quick: The local barbecue chain announced plans earlier this year to take over the vacant space at 345 E. Nine Mile Road.

Otus closed abruptly in 2023 after opening in 2016 as a buzzy restaurant and live music venue.

What we're watching: An opening date. A message to Bad Brad's management wasn't immediately returned.
